The Physician’s Choice for Take-Home, Light Based Hair Regrowth

LaserCap® is the original laser light therapy, take-home device for the medical management of hair loss. It is FDA Cleared to help stop hair loss and regrow hair. Our products are made in the USA and are only available through our network of esteemed physician providers.

How does Lasercap® Work ?
In a nutshell, LaserCap light therapy improves cellular respiration and function by stimulating the hair follicle cells. Better breathing cells, make for a better functioning hair follicle which, in turn, produces a happier, healthier hair!

Until recently this technology was only available through in-office devices, in hair clinics. With LaserCap® you can now take it home, making it a much more effective treatment.

Under LLLT Treatment The initial step is to make an appointment with a LaserCap® physician. The physician will make a hair assessment, and provide the LaserCap® and usage instructions. Typically the LaserCap® is worn 30 minutes three times a week, with results starting to be noticeable in 12 weeks.

Follow-up doctor visits are highly recommended and important to monitor progress. LaserCap® can also be used with other treatments and shared with family.

Pattern Hair LossWho Suffers from Hair Loss?

Hair loss affects millions of men and women worldwide. Baldness (technically known as alopecia) can be caused by alopecia areata, an autoimmune disorder, by fungal infection, traumatic damage, such as by compulsive pulling, as a result of chemotherapy, and as a result of nutritional deficiencies such as Iron deficiency.

Women have between 100,000 and 150,000 hairs on their head. The number of strands normally lost in a day varies, but on average is 100. In order to maintain a normal volume, hair must be replaced at the same rate at which it is lost. The first signs of hair thinning that women will often notice are more hairs than usual left in the hairbrush after brushing or in the basin after shampooing.

Androgenetic alopecia or common male pattern baldness (MPB) accounts for more than 95% of hair loss in men. By the age of 35 two-thirds of men will experience some degree of appreciable hair loss, and by the age of 50 approximately 85% of men have significantly thinning hair. Male pattern baldness is generally characterized with the onset of a receding hairline and thinning crown. Hair in these areas including the temples and mid-anterior scalp appear to be the most sensitive to DHT. Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is a derivative or by-product of testosterone. Testosterone converts to DHT with the aid of the enzyme Type II 5-alpha-reductace, which is held in the hair follicle’s oil glands. Today, with proper intervention this process can be slowed or even stopped if caught early enough.

The shedding process, why it happens, and why it is constructive for your hair growth cycle!

The shedding process is something that is a milestone of sorts, letting you know that the laser hair treatment is working and once dormant follicles are awakening and starting the hair growth cycle all over again.  For most hair loss solutions, it is perfectly normal for some to see shedding in the beginning as weaker, thin hairs are shed to be replaced by stronger, thicker hairs. Low-level light therapy (LLLT) is not expected to make hair loss worse because it is designed to combat genetic hair loss. LaserCap’s PhotoBioStimulation panel of experts in the fields of medicine, science and technology believe that any hair loss you may observe initially is normal and can likely be attributed to the staging of hair growth.

There are three stages of hair growth cycle: anagen(growth phase), catagen (transitional phase), and telogen (resting phase). It’s a repeated cycle of hair growth, hair loss, followed by hair growth again. Think about it as the process of old, weak hairs falling out as it is replaced by new, thicker, healthier hair.

Treatments with LaserCap® aids in the hair growth cycle. First, hair that’s in the transitional phase (between the growth and resting phases), loses its arterial blood supply of nutrients and enters the resting phase. The principles of laser hair therapy rely on substituting this nutrient supply of energy with LaserCap® light energy. By feeding energy to your hair follicles, you are in a way delaying the resting phase, moving into the growth phase and it becomes elongated. This entails a shortening of both the transitional and resting phases.
This is where shedding is misunderstood. Dead hairs (which are already dead) do get cast away quickly but only to make room for healthy hairs. You may notice a bit more hair falling out when first undergoing laser hair therapy but these hairs belong to the resting phase. You certainly don’t want these on your head, and their departure works in your favor as it implies the birth of new, healthier hairs.

This is also why LaserCap® (with its optimal power), is such a powerful tool at fighting hair loss. Not only is it a 100% natural solution with zero side effects, clinically backed by decades of research and double-blind studies, but it also has the power to alter the growth cycle of your hair to your advantage.

Lasercap Female Hair Loss Impact SurveyPsychological Effect of Hair Loss
Hair thinning and baldness cause psychological stress due to their effect on appearance. Hair is considered an essential part of overall identity: especially for women, for whom it often represents femininity and attractiveness. Although they may be aware of pattern baldness in their family, many are uncomfortable talking about the issue.

For sufferers, it can represent a loss of control and feelings of isolation. Women experiencing female hair loss often find themselves in a situation where their physical appearance is at odds with their own self-image and commonly worry that they appear older than they are or less attractive to others.
